Israel’s 5-Point Gaza Invasion Plan: What the Media Isn’t Telling You

The Israeli Security Cabinet has officially approved a controversial new plan proposed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to assert military and administrative control over Gaza City, escalating tensions in the already war-torn region.

The plan, which includes five key principles, outlines Israel’s intent to:

  1. Disarm all Hamas militias

  2. Demilitarize the Gaza Strip

  3. Establish full Israeli security control over the area

  4. Remove Hamas from all governing bodies

  5. Set up a new civil administration unrelated to both Hamas and the Palestinian Authority, aiming also for the return of all hostages, alive or deceased.

According to Netanyahu’s office, the plan passed with a majority vote. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) will prepare to take full control of Gaza City, while also providing humanitarian aid outside combat zones.

Hamas Responds with Fury

Hamas reacted swiftly, condemning the plan as a “blatant blow” to ongoing negotiations. The group stated it would not recognize any Israeli-backed administration, viewing it as an occupying force.

In a statement, Hamas warned:

“Netanyahu’s plan to expand aggression shows he is ready to sacrifice the hostages. Gaza will remain unbreakable, and any further assault on our people will come at a high cost for the occupation.”

United Nations Demands Immediate Halt

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, called on Israel to immediately stop the operation. He described Netanyahu’s strategy as a “complete military conquest” of Gaza, violating international law and a ruling from the International Court of Justice.

Türk warned that such actions could lead to further mass displacement, noting that over 800,000 Palestinians are currently sheltering in Gaza City—many already displaced from other parts of the enclave. He also cited concerns about increased civilian deaths and humanitarian catastrophe.

“The war in Gaza must end now,” Türk stated. “Israel and Palestine must work together, in peace, to save civilian lives and ensure unrestricted humanitarian access.”
