The mystery is over: this is what the new GTA 6 map looks like, according to IlloJuan
In one of his recent streams, content creator IlloJuan presented what could be the map of GTA 6, and his reaction quickly went viral. According to him, the leap in scale, detail, and visual fidelity compared to previous titles is truly impressive.
“The map is right in front of us”
During the stream, IlloJuan expressed his surprise by saying:
“We have the GTA 6 map right in front of us… It’s wild that we’re already seeing it.”
He explained that this map is based on a recreation built from leaks, trailers, and official images, with an estimated accuracy level of around 95%. While there could be slight differences in natural areas, the overall layout and key locations are expected to remain faithful to what we’ll see in the final game.
A much bigger world
One of the aspects that caught the streamer’s attention the most was the size of the map. IlloJuan stated that the world of GTA 6 would be approximately 70% larger than that of GTA V.
To put it into perspective, crossing the GTA V map from end to end by car took about 3 minutes, while in GTA 6 that same journey could take over 6 minutes. In addition, each point on the map is said to be inspired by real-life locations, enhancing the sense of realism and exploration.
The creator highlighted the huge research and development work behind this project, comparing its scale to the efforts fans made in the past with the maps of GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2, but affirming that this time everything points to an entirely new level.

What to expect next
Although several months have passed since the second GTA 6 trailer, Rockstar Games is still holding onto its scheduled release date of May 2026.
In recent weeks, there have been signs that new updates may be coming soon: digital store listings being refreshed, rumors of a next-gen version of Red Dead Redemption 2, and corporate meetings that Rockstar has historically used to make major announcements.
Everything points to GTA 6 being closer than we think, and the hype among fans keeps growing every day.
